Most people buy gas for the stove — and then discover it quietly takes over half the house. Here are five everyday uses of LP Gas Pretoria households and businesses love.
1. Hot water during load shedding
A gas geyser heats water on demand — no waiting for a tank, no cold shower when Eskom cuts. Endless hot water, lower standby losses, and it works through power cuts.
2. Indoor heating in winter
A 9kg bottle on a certified gas heater warms a room in minutes, with no electricity needed. Ideal for Highveld cold snaps and those icy July evenings.
3. Outdoor & patio heating
Patio heaters and fire tables extend entertaining season — restaurants keep tables full, families stay outside longer. A 19kg bottle gives long runtimes.
4. Small business & commercial use
Food trucks, caterers, salons (hot water), bakeries and workshops all run productively on LP Gas — immune to load shedding schedules.
5. Cooking backup that becomes the main event
Many families buy gas as backup and switch permanently: instant heat, precise simmer control, and the pot still boils when the lights go out.
